Stuart Bloom qualified from Oxford University and St Thomas’ Hospital with academic training as a Medical Research Council (MRC) fellow. He has been a consultant at UCLH since 1996. Dr Bloom is currently chair of the gastrointestinal group of the National Institute of Health Research’s comprehensive clinical network and is a past chair of the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) section of the British Society of Gastroenterology. His clinical and research interests centre on the cause of IBD and clinical trials of new therapeutic agents.
I also see patients with diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, irritable bowel, colitis, Crohns disease, indigestion, gastro-oesophageal reflux, alcohol related problems, diet related issues and any problems related to digestion.
