Biography
Dr Kirit Ardeshna was educated at Cambridge University and University College London, followed by training at the Royal Marsden, University College London and Great Ormond Street hospitals. Awarded an MD in 2000 for his research into immunotherapy of lymphoma, he was appointed consultant haemato-oncologist at UCLH and honorary consultant at Mount Vernon Hospital’s cancer centre in 2002.
Dr Ardeshna is currently the lead clinician for haematology at UCLH, a member of the British Committee for Standards in Haematology, and medical advisor to the Lymphoma Association. Between 2004 and 2008, he chaired the North London Cancer Network’s lymphoma tumour board and he is now a committee member of the National Cancer Research Institute’s lymphoma study group and the chief investigator of an international study in non-Hodgkin lymphoma as well as a national study in Hodgkin lymphoma.
